C.P. Company e l’artista irlandese Rejjie Snow, scrivono un altro capitolo del progetto culturale  “Eyes on the city” e presentano “Paris Mon Amour”. Un viaggio in cui l’artista spiega il suo profondo rapporto con la città e quanto questa sia stata importante nell’influenzare il suo rapporto con l’arte e stimolare la sua crescita creativa.

Rejjie Snow, vero nome Alex Anyaegbunam, nasce in un sobborgo a nord di Dublino, Drumcondra, da madre irlandese – giamaicana e padre nigeriano, e già da piccolo si interessa alla musica rap. Nel 2011 si trasferisce negli U.S.A. ad Atlanta in Georgia, con una borsa di studio per giocare a calcio. Due anni più tardi pubblica il suo primo EP Rejovich che in brevissimo tempo scala le classifiche di itunes posizionandosi ai primi posti.
Nel 2018 il suo album di debutto “Dear Annie” riceve ottime recensioni da esperti del settore del calibro di Complex, NPR e Billboard.

PARIS MON AMOUR

Questo “tour” tra le “banlieues” accompagnato da C.P.Company, è stato fantastico racconta l’artista. Mi ha permesso di avere una visione più autentica e realistica di Parigi, che nessun turista potrà mai avere visitando i classici luoghi comuni. Per Rejjie la street art delle banlieues ha avuto un’importanza fondamentale nella sua musica, soprattutto nella realizzazione del suo album di debutto “Dear Annie”, nel quale Parigi rinasce a nuova vita, tra rime secche e liriche dall’influenza irlandese.
Visitare Parigi, continua  Rejjie, mi ha aiutato a comprendere il mondo femminile, ho visto quanto qui le donne siano forti e decise. Il duetto “Mon Amour”, con la cantante parigina Milena Leblanc,  è ode piena alla Ville Lumière.

Rejjie Snow, real name Alex Anyaegbunam, was born in a suburb north of Dublin, Drumcondra, from Irish mother – Jamaican and Nigerian father. Since was a child is interested in rap music. In 2011 he moved to the U.S.A. in Atlanta, Georgia, with a scholarship to play football. Two years later he publishes his first EP Rejovich that in a very short time scales the rankings of itunes positioning himself in the first places.
In 2018 his debut album “Dear Annie” receives excellent reviews from industry experts such as Complex, NPR and Billboard.

PARIS MON AMOUR

This “tour” among the “banlieues” accompanied by C.P.Company, was fantastic, says the artist, allowed me to have a more authentic and realistic vision of Paris, that no tourist can ever have visiting the classic clichés. For Rejjie the street art of the banlieues has had a fundamental importance in his music, especially in the realization of his debut album “Dear Annie”, in which Paris is reborn to new life, between dry rhymes and lyrics from the Irish influence.
Visiting Paris, says Rejjie, was fundamental to my understanding of the feminine world. I saw how strong and decisive women are here. The duet “Mon amour”, with the Parisian singer Milena Leblanc, is full ode to the Ville Lumière.
