Porsche Macan GTS, sport excellence
Porsche completes the Macan series with the GTS sports model, acronym that distinguishes the sports versions of the Stuttgart house.
The exceptional sportiness of the new Macan GTS is immediately visible. The Sport Design standard equipment package, with its new front and rear trim and flashy side skirts, gives to the car an unmistakable line. On the lower part of the front bumper and the front section, black paint details stand out. Distinctive feature of all Porsche GTS models. On the new Macan GTS we will find elegant fine details, such as LED projectors with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). The rear three-dimensional lights with darkened LED light bar, the RS Spyder Design wheels 20” in satin-gloss black. Red brake calipers, finish of diffuser and terminals of the sports exhaust system in black and many more. Performances are naturally the best of the best, otherwise GTS means “Gran Turismo Sport”, signature that distinguishes Porsche cars that have excellent features both dynamic and engine. Under the hood we have a 2.9 litre twin-turbo V6 engine capable of delivering 380 hp. That means a power that exceeds of 20 hp that of previous model. New Macan GTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds when equipped with dual-clutch Porsche (PDK) gearbox and the optional Sport chrono package. A maximum attainable speed of 261 km/h. Really not bad. The Macan GTS features the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) electronic damper adjustment system with special calibration. The chassis has also been lowered by 15 mm to improve the lateral dynamics of the vehicle. If standard suspensions aren’t enough for you, adaptive air suspension is available, on request, with a further lowering of the frame of 10 mm. In matching with the RS Spyder Design 20”rims as standard and the cast iron brakes with generous dimensions. The new Macan GTS impresses with the agility and responsiveness typical of a true sports car. Also in this appearence, those who want more efficient brakes can, optionally, have Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB). Coated with tungsten carbide and the braking system in carbon ceramic Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB).
All these performances, naturally, have to reckon with consumption. The house states in 9.6 liters per 100 kilometers. Internally the use of high quality materials. Like the Alcantara, for the central seat bands, the armrests of the centre console, the door panels and the brushed aluminum allow you to perceive also in the cabin the sportiness and elegance that characterize Macan GTS. The multi-function sports steering wheel with crown covered in soft leather and gear selection levers is included in the standard equipment. Numerous customization options include GTS leather coatings in Carmine Red or Crayon. With additional details in Alcantara and color accents. The BOSE surround sound system and the smartphone tray with induction charging function. Optional equipment can be chosen to increase safety and comfort. The adaptive cruise speed control system with Traffic Jam assist function, the parking assist system with rear camera and surround view function. The heated windshield and the ionizer.
